A south austin staple

We’ve designed Lenoir twice.

We met Jess Maher at a friend’s going-away party in 2011, and we had a long conversation about a vision of hers and her partner’s (Todd Duplechan) for a neighborhood fine-dining restaurant tucked into the tiniest space on South First Street, surrounded by live oak trees. Through literal blood, sweat, and tears (ours and theirs), Lenoir came to life shortly after. Fast-forward ten years, and it was time for a refresh. We infused the little space with light, life, and color that reflects their vibrant fare. More than a decade later, and we still never leave without wanting to lick our plates.

Interior of a cozy cafe with wooden tables, chairs with patterned cushions, a black cushioned bench, and decorative wall sconces and mirrors, with natural light from windows and beige curtains.
Interior view of a modern restaurant with wooden floors, a curved blue bar, bar stools, and tables with red and black patterned chairs, decorated with a vase of flowers and contemporary lighting.

Blue leather check covers branded with the Lenoir logo and seat cushion patterning (both designed by MiniSuper Studio) give the experience visual texture and tactile interest.

Curved white oak shelving with copper supports offer unfussy, ample, and easily accessible glass storage through the space.
